Vintage Forest Service Double Bit Axe Restoration & Making An Axe Handle
Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well. This time we come back with the vintage Forest Service axe, True Temper Flint Edge Kelly Works double-bit axe. We restored the axe head and made a new hexagonal handle from ebony with my dad's style. Anyway, we would like to tell you this is not a practical axe, we intend to make it for collection and display as a work of art. We would like to introduce art in the form of axes or woodwork. We hope you will enjoy our work. we hope you enjoy our video and hope to get some ideas or inspiration. We are very glad to see you guys.

Still in the process of trying to do what you do, I know why son takes a step back bringing it to his shoulder. Ebony is heavy, and that axe head is not light. I just about fell over when I tried an axe with a 48” Ebony handle. Look how well dad (uncle?) brings it to his shoulder. Wow. Both of you are amazing. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much. Yes, this handle is made of ebony 47", and the axe head is 8 lb, so it is about 12 lb. It is so very heavy.😅😁 I wish you success🙌
